The Air Jordan 12 Retro 'Flu Game' 2009 pays tribute to the famous Flu Game, in which Michael Jordan scored 38 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to victory in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals despite battling flu-like symptoms. The shoe is not an exact replica of the model he wore during the game, with a black suede upper contrasted by a Varsity Red mudguard and outsole. A sick-face icon appears on the tongue as well as the heel, the latter of which also sports '97' and '38.'
